Trip Home - Remembering the Blessings

We left our hotel in Jerusalem at 1:30am (ouch) and headed for the Tel Aviv airport. During the trip we prayed morning prayer together - our last time of prayer with the entire group. As we sat in the airports (Tel Aviv, Frankfurt & Dallas), on the planes and in the bus, we got to reminisce on the last 10 days and give thanks for the many blessings we received.

This picture was taken outside of the cave of the Annunciation after our first Mass.

Here we are all posing after Mass in the Church of the Transfiguration on Mt. Tabor.

  2. The Pilgrimage was a tremendous blessing for me. Thank you all for being a part of it; thank you all for your cooperation and support; thank you for helping each other as there was need; thanks so much for being you as we traveled. It was our 5th pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Several have asked which was best. They are all different. On this one we definitely saw and did some things that we had not done on previous times. It was great. A special thanks to Fr. Brian for his Spiritual leadership and guidance as we were at the various Holy Places. He made Christ present to us in so many ways. Wasn't it wonderful to be at the places where so much of our faith began and where Jesus actually was? What blessings! Thanks also for the beautiful gift of the Holy Family. It will always have a special place in our home or my office.
